    Re: W3922 vs ISE10

    Hi all,
Had the Miele for a good month and a half now. All seems well. It wahes well, it doesn’t take any longer than my old machine. It’s bigger. It has a little light in the drum (little things eh) and overall i’m happy with it. Only one niggle which i’ll have them out for : when it spins at 1600rpm it seems to rattle the door which doesn’t seem as snug as i’d like. I’ve checked the shopfloor of the company I work for and all the Mieles i’ve checked seem to have a loose door.
It isn’t a massive problem and one I could quite easily live with but as i’ve a 10year warranty I figured i’d better make the most of it 😉

    Thanks
    Matt.

Hey Helo, don’t apologise on our account. Speaking your mind is what forums are all about.

Please don’t take this to the trade forum – i’d hate to miss out. Maybe I could have access 😉

    This is getting good now.
If I get this much entertainment listening to you guys bicker then I hope my Miele does keep packing up just so I have an excuse to keep posting. 😉

Just so you know, it was delivered today and had a leak within the hour!! 😯
Wasn’t the washer though :D, it was the connection to the cold – the installer twisted the tap on the pipe when tightening up the water hose. Needless to say the installer was buried in my garden along with the Safestyle guys who dislodged some brickwork fitting a window.

So, all’s well for the time being. I’ve followed the ‘first use’ instructions and done three loads of washing – everything seems great. The drum light (quite possibly the greatest pointless feature ever) is incredibly bright. I’ve turned off the cupboard lights in the kitchen so I can admire it glowing merrily.
What can I say – i’m easily pleased.

< is less than. Don't mean to pick faults, it just confused me at first reading that's all.
I hope you are wrong and my Miele gives me many years of trouble free working Who knows, by the time the warranty is over the service ‘monopoly’ might have been relaxed.
💡 Just thinking about warranties now and I remember having a phone call from my bank when my account was upgraded, and as such they will double the warranty of any product I buy as long as I register it with them within 30 days of purchase… so, maybe 20years warrany is up for grabs! I reckon there’ll be some cap on the years though, so maybe i’ll get another 4 or 5 from it before I need to start worrying about paying for repairs.
    Fingers crossed, eh!

Have you got your s mixed up? >£100 could still be cheaper or more expensive than Miele.

I think it’s time to get friendly with a few Miele agents now – did I mention I can pass on my staff discount to preferred friends 😉

In 10 years time, when the seal goes, it’s time to either purloin one from our shop floor or get the mastic out 😉

    Re: W3922 vs ISE10

Well the Miele is a done deal – getting delivered tomorrow – no going back so stop trying to talk me round . I spent most of the weekend on here with questions for you and a good deal of time googling for info – it wasn’t a decision I made lightly. Given the facts I had I made the choice. As I said, if I could have found more feedback on the ISE then I would have been more confident in going ahead with it – without it I felt it would have been a bit of a gamble.

Once i’ve built my workshop I will have room for tumble dryer – i’ll be back!

    Good luck with ISE.

    Re: W3922 vs ISE10

    Hi all,
Thanks for all your help and guidance. I ended up going with the Miele 3922 – it was a good price, 10 year warranty and the missus liked the look of it.

I’ll get 10years piece of mind out of either of the the Miele of ISE and the price was more or less the same. Just hope i’ve made the right decision.

When the Miele does finally go pop and i’m on the lookout for a new machine then i’ll check back with ISE – hopefully there will be lots and lots of excellent reviews to sway my decision – lack of reviews for the ISE and a few bad ones for the Maytag and Asko variants are what made me ulitmately decide on the Miele this time (and I must admit, I do like the novelty of the drum light 😉 ).

    Thanks again for the advice.
    Matt 😀

    Re: W3922 vs ISE10

Thanks for the mail – i’ll take a look at that.
Remind me again; was there any physical difference between the 1400 and 1600?
What about Doncaster/ Sheffield? I work in Docaster so should be able to stretch my legs out further if needed. Otherwise it looks like i’ll have to hunt down a similar Maytag – build quality should be identical shouldn’t it?

Ken, don’t appear to have access to that file.

You don’t have permission to access /downloads/PDFs/ISE101406W.pdf on this server.

Sparse? So it’s unlikely i’ll be able to check one over before buying?

Ken, is there any chance of getting hold of a pdf version of the instruction manual for the ISE10?

    Re: W3922 vs ISE10

It is a promising concept; it keeps customers happy and you service guys in work. Still seems like you have a hell of a way to go though. Up until a few days ago I had never heard of the ISE machine, let alone knew anybody who has one.

What is the reason behind keeping your products out of ‘large’ stores? I can’t help but think if you get the unit out there it’ll only help to bolster your cause. Might need a wee bit of an advertising campaign and a few mentions of the Akro roots to help gain Joe Public’s confidence.

If ever you did decide to go down that route I would be happy to pass on your details to our buyers.

    Re: W3922 vs ISE10

I guess i’m liking those dealers then – £799 all in seems more than fair for this rusty carbuncle 😉

Of course I jest, it looks a marvel.

Ken, can I ask, where do you sit in the ISE company?

    Re: W3922 vs ISE10

Ooh, that is quick. Is the £799 inclusive of delivery and installation? And not forgetting the complimentary pack of detergent and a bunch of flowers for the missus 😉
