So I have dismantled the float mechanism and cleaned it up but I do not think this was the fault as was only surface dirt on the components and not major gunge. However the value at the top of the fill matrix and most of the matrix to was completely gunk’ed up and it took some two hours of soaking and shaking and garden hose to get it clearer. After this clean up I put it together and it seems to work just fine.
Although I still have the original fault were the timer knob stalls at the NINE o’clock position and I have to nudge it past this stall point to get the cycle to complete. Hence I think I still have a timer that is on its way out.

Many many thanks for the replies to my question and well after a bit of a head scratching and Google’ing I got the top off and removed the left panel and the system inside is full of food waste etc.
So I started cycle off and it stalled as expected so I lifted the little red float control post that couples to the micro switch and machine started again.
Have power all off now and going to have breakfast before tackling this mucky job of cleaning this regulator system out.
Will let you know how get on but many many thanks again.

Bit late now as just off to see the sandman.
But will get the panels off it tomorrow and see whats going on.
Also any idea who my have spare timer for these as my web search has not turned up one yet.Many thanks and have a good night.
