Thanks Martin. The tumble dryer is up and running exactly the way you told me to do it. Took all of 5 minutes to put it back together again with the new thermal cut outs. Thats the last time I let a man near electrical equipment. Thanks again for your help it very much appreciated.

I have checked the tumble dryer and it has 3 of the wires the same as you have stated. One single light orange, one single brown, one single blue but there is a double black and orange not red and red as you stated. 3 of the wires can reach to the right hand side they are all the single wires. What do you think I should do? I dont want to blow a new set of thermal cut out switches. Also another thing do you think when the cut out switches blew the last time that the new ele,ment will still be ok?
