Re: Error code 06 on Neff dishwasher

    Thanks Martin.
I’ve now reached a dead end. I’ve read elsewhere that it could be the control module at fault, which at over £100 + fitting and programming & VAT is probably not worth the expense. This is the second Neff appliance we’ve had recently which has proved to be less than satisfactory. We’ve bought Neff for over 30 years; they used to be solid but IMO they’re now trading on past glory.
Our 3 year old dishwasher is now going to the skip and will be replaced with something cheaper which we will budget to renew every 3 to 4 years.
Thanks for your help and advice.

Re: Error code 06 on Neff dishwasher

Checked the alignment a couple of weeks ago and all OK. No discernible play on the hinge bearings so ordered new switch and sensor. Finally got around to fitting them yesterday but unfortunately still have E06 error code and won’t start on any programme. Also removed décor panel to reduce weight of door – still no luck. Also cleaned out the filter inside the machine and checked pump impellor for free movement – all OK. Have taken the left hand side panel off to check for any obvious blockages and the water inlet tank and supply and drain pipes all look clean and clear. However the left hand chamber of the component at the bottom behind the supply and drain pipes (water softener tank?) is filled with what appears to be an orange gel. Is this supposed to be? There is no gunk visible anywhere else. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

Thanks for taking the time out to give advice. I’ll check out the alignment before buying any new bits and will keep you posted on the results. V, busy in my proper job this week so it may be a couple of days…..
…….and no I’m not a pal of JS (There are a lot of James Martins around I’m afraid)

Re: Error code 06 on Neff dishwasher

Thanks Martin. Is the solution likely to be simply the replacement of the switch in the top of the machine (ie – is it a common fault?) or could it be more complicated & expensive than that and be a fault in the main control unit?
