ParticipantRe: Miele G 646 SC PLUS – wash/drain cycle sticking
I’m pretty sure there’s something going on with the flood protection switch. Could I just remove the polystyrene float for a few days/weeks to see if that’s what’s causing the problem or would that be incredibly stupid.
It’s been fine for 6 weeks now so it must have been the switch sticking. Thanks for your help greg.

Hi Greg, thanks for the reply
Have you checked the microswitch for any signs of damage ie rust, water remnants etc.
Apologies for may what sound like a simple question but when you say microawitch, do you mean the button/switch that the polystyrene float pushes against? That doesn’t seem to get stuck at all and “clicks freely when pressed.
If you are referring to something else, can you give me a pointer as to what?
Many thanks
Jamie

I have a similar problem on a G692 SC Plus but when I have taken the undertray off I have never found any traces of water in the tray or signs of leaks elsewhere. The dishwasher then works fine for a week or two before having the inlet light flashing again. Slightly strange but if I pull it out and I tip it sideways slightly it will then work. (I don’t get any water leaking from the undertray either even when I left it slightly loose one time to see if there was any.
