ok, another update.

I have tried different programs to see what would happen.

the washer goes through the sequence, fill, wash but when uit comes to drain/spin it makes a knocking sound from where the drain pump is, it still drains but no spin.

on some occasions the drum attempts to turn but you then hear the solenoid click off so no spin.

I am now starting to pull my hair out on this

ok, now things are getting confusing.
After taking the motor off to check the brushes and reassembling, then pushing every connector just in case of loose connection. I did a test wash and everything worked perfectly.

HURRAH!

NOPE!!!!!!

did a second wash and the problem returned.

This may seem a stupid question but where is the heater on the washing machine?
