Re: AEG F50730 not working. RESOLVED

Reading back through posts and the AEG user book (really desperate)I concluded that with assurances the control module was unlikely to be at fault. Knowing there was no water under the float and the switch was clicking nicely when the float was operated, I thought that the float and inlet ‘Aqua stop’ valve must be linked directly as the book says antiflood is active even if no program is running. Did a resistance check on the inlet valve and found this open circuit. Replaced the hose and valve and no more problems noted. One wash down, hopefully many more to go.
    Thanks for assistance

    Re: AEG F50730 not working.

Yes, Certainly no fill water coming in. The base is completely dry (checked within 20minutes of the fault occurring, so not time for it to have dried out) and the float switch is sounding OK when the foam float is lifted from the base.
Wiring for the switch is more difficult to access, but is worthwhile checking further. I assume that the level control is limited to the pressure unit on the right side, this has been checked and again, from the clicks of the contacts when gently blown into, seems OK, but I will check this further. The connection pipe is clear and correctly routed. The large plastic water ‘matrix’ on the left is completely clean with water holding just below the air break at the top.
    Thanks.

    Re: AEG F50730 not working.

    Buttons are arranged
    1 – 4
    2 – 5
    3 – 6
1,2,3,5,6 have adjacent LED’s (normally wash programs), 4 (delay timer) has three leds depending on time set.
to the right of these are five more led’s arranged:
    7
    8
    9

    10
    11
7,8,9 are described in the book as ‘multi function display’, 10 and 11 as ‘control indicators'(salt/rinseaid)

On power up: After about 4 seconds leds 7 & 8 flashing
On power up and pressing any program button (1,2,3,5,6) immediately :respective program led steady, then 7 & 8 leds flashing, program led changes to flashing at same time. Flash rate about once per second.

    Thanks

Re: AEG F5730 – Another Anti flood reset problem (RESOLVED)

Thanks for response. As noted there was no water present in the drip tray so all the usual ideas failed. But I have had a success. Having spent 40years troubleshooting industrial controls I ended up at the door control unit (all the sensors had been checked by now, and removed all the I/O connections from the controller except the power supply. Powered up and got normal start of cycle indications. Reconnected everything and the cycle lock-out loop that had been stopping machine from going past the initial pump out seemed to have cleared and a normal complete cycle completed. Has worked perfectly ever since.
I checked the connections to the controller carefully before removing them and am happy that they were not loose etc. Without the technical info no idea why this worked – but very happy.
    Regards.
