In the past, all fridges and freezers I’ve had, have been difficult to open the door for about 10 to 15 seconds after the door is closed. As you say, “they hold the door shut”.

On this AEG model, the freezer compartment acts exactly like that; it holds the door shut for about 10 to 15 seconds after the door is closed. However the fridge compartment doesn’t do this. I can close and open this door straight away. It doesn’t hold the door shut at all.

My concern was that this isn’t right, maybe the door isn’t sealing correctly or the vacuum isn’t being created as it should.
