Allister @ UK Whitegoods suggested I post here for help and hopefully I can place an order for a replacement PCB tomorrow morning.

I had the PCB blow when a 40w cooker hood bulb exploded so I bought a Woo59 from UKW and fitted it ok and all working fine.

What I should have checked was the fuse rating but didn’t. Last week another bulb blew and yes the PCB went too.

It has a 13amp fuse!! Which obviously is still intact.

I reckon a 1 amp fuse is enough for normal operation but I guess that would be a 3amp.

Could someone please advise if another replacement PCB fitted with a 3amp fuse would blow the fuse rather than the PCB/

Also should I also be investigating why lamps blow ??

    TIA

postscript: I thought it was a Woo24 I bought but Allister mentioned on the phone a Woo59 so I’m a bit confused now 🙁

I guess I’m the only one interested in this however for the benefit of anyone else out there who is stuck with such a rubbish PCB just to let you know…

One of the cookerhood bulbs blew again and instead of blowing the PCB this time it blew the fuse.

Whilst this is less than convenient (i.e. blowing a fuse when a bulb dies), replacing a 3amp fuse is better than the purchase, shipping and soldering of a whole new PCB !!
