Re: Zanussi ZWD1471S No Display – Faulty PCB / Door Lock?
I had a better look around the machine this weekend,
Whilst the door lock appears suspect, looking at the old Main PCB it appears the Door Lock power supply track is the one burnt out.
This supports my leaving the power on / door open has done the damage but it also looks like whilst it failed, the door supply track has arc’d accross to the 0V tracking of the control electronics section on the main board.
My question now is; could this have killed every electronic circuit in the machine?
I’m assuming the front button PCB is now toast (Given it does nothing – not even light up). Are there any other modules that might need replacing if the low voltage side was zapped with Mains?
It is really starting to look non-viable to repair esp if all I’ll be doing is chasing zapped electronics throughout the machine.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
