    As iadom mentioned earlier, checking with a multimeter for continuity will suffice in establishing whether the motor is OK. A physical inspection of the moving parts for wear/arcing/worn armature segments etc is advisable also.

    The motor is powered by the electronic module and they are usually the first to fail. I wonder if that has been inspected?

    For continuity testing I would need to remove the power terminal cables first?

    Yep I have changed the title to the correct model, thanks

    I wasnt checking the motor as such (as I was not sure what results to expect) but I was checking that the rest of the system was doing what it should. If there is 240v being supplied to the motor then how can a fault elsewhere prevent it from running?

    Any specific advise on testing the motor itself is welcomed.
