Re: Bosch SGS4312GB Dishwasher does not drain

    Well I:
    1. removed the drain hose at the machine and flushed it through. some gunge but then it ran clear.
    2. Removed the pump discharge pipe from near the drain hose connection (where the transparent pipes are on the LHS) I tried to blow, but solid (presume a non-return valve). Then I sucked a load of clear water into my mouth.
    3. Switched on and did a reset. I could feel the pump humming and hear a faint hum, but no water travelling anywhere.
    4. Have been trying for the last coup0le of hours to remove the drain pump, but cannot work out what is retaining it. I see there is a black rubber bellows between the pump and the plastic outlet pipe. Is this just a push on bellows onto the pump? In other words do I have to just pull the pump out of the bellows? I had to remove the fromt door cover to gain better access to the pump.

Please advise how to remove the pump from the main body at the bottom.

    Thanks and I’ll keep trying.

    John.

Thanks a bundle Martin and NomadPaul. Yes it is a SRS4312GB/08 . I cannot understand why I fixated on SGS even though the book is right in front of me.
The only pump I know is working is the wash pump. Now that I know there is a drain pump and how to energise it, I will check it out. I will have to figure out how to get the front off. And, after Martin’s comment, I hope I do not have to replace it.
I’ll let you know how I get on.
    Thanks again,
    JOHN
