Hi Specialist, thanks for the reply.
I’ve had both the coarse and fine filters out (the latter is a large round plate arangement in the bottom of the machine which rotates slightly and lifts out. It is mostly a metal grill, with a fine mesh screen in the centre). There is what I might describe as a sump under these, which seems to be clear. Is that what you are refering to or is there a further panel to remove?
I tried firing the machine up with some dishwasher cleaner in it this morning and it now wont fill, which is a new error. I’ve checked the fill hose and it’s not kinked and the feed valve is turned on. (edit: on re-reading I should clarify that I haven’t actually managed to use the dishwasher cleaner, as the machine refused to fill when I tried to run a cycle with the cleaner in place)
The machine starts up, pumps itself out (which is always the first thing it does on starting), then tries to fill but instead just makes slightly unhappy laboured motor noises for a little while and stops.
I’ve heard there is part of the filling mechanism of these Zanussi machines which can become clogged, could that be the case here do you think?
