the serial number( or is the model number ) is 8586 152 15001

can you tell me if the temp sensors are J type of K type?
if i simulate a resistance over the connectors would this possibly switch the realy and the compressor on? if so what resistence should i use?

what part is it in the circuit that would normally go?
would you possibly have a circuit diagram for the back board? as trying to fault find is a bit tricky!
    thanks again,
    john

Re: Whirlpool American style F/F Fault

    Hi Again,
the temperature control seem to be digital at the front of the f/f. inside the fridge and the freezer 3/4 of the way up there are ( what i think are sensors); they are about 50mm long 7mm diameter sealed units, with a cable attached, is that the temperature sensors.

I have looked at the board and can’t see any obvious fault with it, burnt tracks etc, the fact that no power is going to the relay is an issue.

Would you be able to tell me where the signal is generated from to activate the relay to switch on the compressor pump?
The PBC is coded ITW ISPRACONTROLS
    LOT 22223~CC

    Many thanks
