Thanks for replying “Quick Fix.” The leak did appear to be coming from the gasket seal, at the bottom of the drum, but having isolated the machine, removed the back panel and poured (coloured) laundry liquid into the soap dispenser it soon became obvious that the leak came from the dispenser hose. Easy to change for a new one and I’m really chuffed that it didn’t entail removing the drum……………….perhaps next time, eh? 🙂

ParticipantRe: Another Hotpoint Mistral FF92 thread!
Spent a number of hours on this problem! The result is that the freezer temp. is still at -22oC; the fan now seems to be working perfectly and all the crud/fluff has been removed using my trusty Dyson…………….but the ‘fridge temp. remains stubbornly unchanged at +20oC! So just what is, or is not, happening? Does anyone have a clue?

I’ve been researching the Mistral threads and the following quotation is taken from one in 2008:
There are three with this model, plugs are colour coded, yellow, green and white. Yellow and green are in the freezer compartment and white is in fridge area.
I’ve always replaced the yellow and green thermistors but I can’t locate the white one in the ‘fridge. Any ideas? Perhaps my model is of the older variety, as it was bought in 2001?

Thanks, Dave. I feared as much!
I’ve tried “Repairs” but there is no engineer in this area. I’ll have to try “Yellow Pages”
Thanks again,
