Thanks very much Dave. Have ordered a thermostat and am plesantly encouraged by what other people have said about it. Hope it’s as easy to do as they say. Will let you know what happens!
(PS, like the electrocution smiley – will be certain to make sure it’s unplugged)

I noticed that a Creda T632CW Tumble Dryer was mentioned above where the drum will still rotate, but the dryer isn’t getting hot. This is what has just happened to mine.
It also says that this is more likely to be the thermostat than the element (I have managed to get the small back panel off, and it seems the element is in tact at least – though whether it’s still working I wouldn’t know). Is it possible for me to order a spare thermostat from somewhere, and would it be possible for me (a relatively proficient DIYer) to replace?
Also, is there anywhere that will have some sort of diagram or instructions that shows how this dryer is put together, as there is obviously nothing in the instruction manual that shows you how the dryer works? I actually don’t even know where the thermostat is at the moment.
Really don’t want to shell out for an engineer if it is a simple problem that I could fix myself (though obviously if it isn’t this I’ll have to). Any help anyone can offer would therefore be very much appreciated!
John.
