    Re: AEG Santo S3675KA6 resetting

    Hi there

we have an AEG Santo 2340-8KG Fridge freezer (Dual compressor type presumably with separate control PCBs).

The fridge part seems to be exhibiting the same symptoms as yours did in your earlier post. (Displaying fridge temperatures that were silly – reads 11C fridge temp actually around 0C) It certainly seems that the fridge control board thinks the fridge is a lot warmer than it is. In your case that would result in the compressor running continuously and possibly getting too hot – hence the continual resetting, although I would have thought that a fridge compressor would be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} duty rated.

    As to why

We live on a small island of the coast of New Zealand and the mains voltage here is variable on a good day. Generally speaking when the mains voltage is variable (lights flickering when it’s windy etc) that is normally accompanied by voltage spikes as well. I wonder if voltage spikes or abnormally low voltage are confusing the control board? Or maybe it is just something about the fridge control boards? The freezer part or our fridge freezer continues working fine.

    No real answers I’m afraid

    Cheers

    Jon
