Re: LG Dishwasher LD 2060 Error code E1

    Hi,

I have the same dishwasher and appear to be experiencing exactly the same symptoms.

My dishwasher intermittently but persistently displays fault code E1. A local repair engineer has investigated the fault and could find no cause for the error code. There is no water leakage, no hose issues and no water in the undertray of the washer. The dishwasher functions exactly as it should apart from the intermittent error code. He left unable to offer any suggestions apart from the control board which I have already replaced with a spare left from a previous repair.

Therefore, I have just contacted LG directly, the advisor put me on hold and spoke to an engineer who said that it would be the recirculation pump causing the fault. No other explanation was offered.

I have already had this pump replaced once before, when it completely failed. However, this time there is no obvious evidence of pump failure at all.

Does anyone have any experience of this or be able to suggest any checks that could be made to prove that the fault is being caused by the recirculation pump? I do not really want to spend £90 on a new pump before knowing that it is actually at fault.
