    iadom, thank you once again for your help, although I ignored your advice and tried the job myself.

    Once I realised the bottom of the machine had to come off it was a very simple job. Can’t believe how much gunk was in there :eeek:

    Anyway the dryer is like new again and is happily drying anything I throw in it 😀
