Thanks Dave. The manual says that if it is flashing, a technical fault has probably occurred. I had turned it off at the mains overnight and will try it again as they suggest. If it still fails, do you have any suggestions?

I’m having this problem with our SMV40C30GB/45 FD 9610. Is it likely to be the same fault?
