alf_uckem, can’t thank you enough for your very detailed reply.
I have tried to get a qualified engineer out to replace the sensor, but as soon as I mention frost-free freezer, no one wants to know. I used the uk whitegoods engineer search facility which came up with one name i.e Partpoint Hove Ltd. The gentleman who answered the phone was very nice, but they do not service frost free freezers. I have called Liebherr sevice but only get a call centre, who would refer me to someone in my local area. After having read some horror stories about these so called professionals in other parts of this forum, I am reluctant to do this.
This is just a shot in the dark, but would you know anyone in the Crawley, West Sussex area, that you can recommend for the job?
Failing that, I am prepared to take the job on myself, and will let you know how I get on.
By the way the freezer is still working, but with temperature fluctuation. Gonna run down the foodstuff, then attempt the job if I can’t find anyone else.kenhaz

I forgot to say that the reason I am replacing the sensor is because of an F4 fault code showing.

Many thanks for your quick replies to my post. The service number of the freezer is 9987668-08. I have the sensor replacement kit which does come with instructions. The first thing I have to do is “detach the evaporator module and pull it towards you.” However, the instructions do not explain how to detach the module, and this is where I need help.
