    Re: Currys essentials c51owm11

A update, Currys repair man came out and said it was the door lock and main pcb board, If the door lock goes it maked the main board go apparently?? Any way to cut a long story short currys have refunded the cost of the machine as not worth repairing. It pays to kick up a fuss sometimes!

Anyone have any ideas? Have seen some boards on ebay but not sure if its worth spending more on it.

Would it be worth getting another repair man out?
Im still waiting to hear from currys

It beeps as soon as I turn the on button on, it has a dial to choose cycle, which it does go on to but whatever cycle you choose when you press start it just bleeps and flashes. I have tried all cycles including rinse and drum clean

Thanks, when I turn it on and put it on to a cycle, for example cotton, the temp light flashes and it beeps but will not start. The temp light goes to cold. This happens what ever setting I try and it will not start. Engineer has checked all other parts and says it must be pcb and its most likely not worth repair.

I only do 3-4 loads a week and im sure it should have lasted longer than this. I have emailed currys and im waiting for a reply. They were very unhelpfull on the phone. Just said warrenty isup and thats it, however have been looking up sale of goods act and it seems I may have a case.

Thanks for reply, No engineer was just the local chap not from currys. He said he checked every thing else and it was all ok so the only thing it could be was pcb. The machine will not start on any cycle and just has flashing lights and beeping whatever you try to start it.
He didnt say what the fault was with it,just that it probably is not worth repair. As its not old Im still trying to get some sort of answer from currys as it seems I may have soe comeback under the sale of goods act
