Re: Bosch table top dishwasher, not heating in wash, dries o

Thanks for that. I did wonder about the temp sensor which I’m assuming is a NTC thermistor. I thought maybe it’s not reading temperature correctly so not heating up during wash, but don’t know how the heat function for drying is controlled, if at all. Does it simply switch on heaters just before the end of final rinse and during drying with no temperature control so heaters on all the time?

Managed to find where the sensor is located and removed it. Reads open circuit at ambient temperature and then shows resistance when it gets hot but didn’t test this at set temperatures so can’t be sure if readings would be correct. Does seem to indicate though that it may be functioning ok.

That leads me to think the control unit is faulty as you suggested but does seem very unusual. If that is the case I guess it’s not going to be worth repairing.

I didn’t say that it washes OK though it does complete cycle amd I think in the correct time.
I suspected there might be something wrong when it didn’t feel at all warm on the outside during the wash but did when drying and inside was hot.
I stopped the cycle at several points during wash and at no time was the water hot except right at end of final rinse.
Put a temperature temp sensor on inside connected to digital thermometer outside and kept checking during a wash. This confirmed that it does not heat in wash cycle.
