    Hi Penguin45;

    Thought I’d let you know how I got on with machine after a bit of fossiking. It would appear that the “pop & flash” I heard and thought I saw, came from the OOB switch which tested OK about 60 min prior. Must’ve disturbed it. It was corroded though as you mentioned earlier, and there was a wee bit of the dreaded electrical smell from it once it was removed, but machine still didn’t want to go after replacement. The circuit board protection fuse was OK but the connections and wiring at the motor were a bit………..you know, which you also suggested and I managed to correct those and get machine working again. Your diagnosis was 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and Wifey is happy now. Do you ever tire of people singing your praises? Keep up the excellent work.

    Kind regards
    Graham

    Hi Penguin45;

    Will have to leave machine now for a couple of days to attend prior arrangements, but will definitely contact you again once I’m back and had a peep at your recommendations. It’s all making logic now. All the same, I’ll wear the same underwear till fixed. Might speed things up????

    Many, many Thanks

    Hi Penguin45;

    Thanks. I really needed cheering up. Funny enough; My wife and I were standing beside the machine, (with the panel still open), discussing our next move, and there was a single, barely audible, “pop” from that area. I think, but I’m not certain, I saw a “tiny” flash from the right side of the contoller (standing in front of machine). I could not smell anything though. I disconnected the power supply and placed things together again but I thought I would try my luck just once more. Wallah, but still code 107. I ran through all the cycles and all seems OK? But in the motor trade there is a quote, “they go well just before they blow”. I’ll get a controller on standby. Thankyou very much for all your assistance.

    Kind regards
    Graham

    Hi Penguin45;

    For the record, F&P = Fizz and Pop, unquote.

    Re: F&P Smartdrive GW603

    Hi Penguin45;

    Thanks for your reply. I’ve just replaced both hot and cold valves, but now have a new bucket of worms to play with. I’ve checked and double checked with agents that they’ve supplied correct valves but voltages at both valves now at 16mv on normal start mode i.e. Power switch then Start switch. All operations are still nil. The diag code has changed now also, to 01101011 from right; code 107 ?
    I’m not sure if it’s worth noting, that after pressing power switch, (but not start), on initial normal power up, 0 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 from right, (lamp bin code 64) continuously flashes. Thanks for all your help.

    Kind Regards Graham

    Re: GW 603-K

    I think I’ve got it right. It’s a an 8 year old F&P 603 washing machine.

    Cheers GW
