Hello – yes read the terms and conditions and I believe this is the relevant clause:

“5. 2. If we deem your appliance to be beyond economical repair, we will offer you a £75 (inc. VAT) discount off a new appliance when purchased directly from us through our Contact Centre.”

This doesn’t state loss of original fee.

If you can point out any term/condition that would indicate this, please let me know.

Before I do that, can I check the switch/element by plugging the grill terminals into the fan element…? I want to double check the element is indeed gone…

Hello Dave,

How do I access the switches behind the control knob? What do I look for…?

I’ve pulled the cooker out from the wall. It must have got hot at some point…as a few of the covers over the connectors were burnt, so the cooling fan may well be a problem.
