ParticipantRe: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!
Pulled everything out – there was no rubbish in either the filter or the pump, just a bit of grey gunge.
There was a kink in the drain hose though which I’ve straigtened out and it’s all working fine so thanks for the advice.

ParticipantRe: How do I get the filter out?
Thanks! I managed to get the filter out and there was a penny in it. The washing machine still doesn’t drain though so I’ll try the pump next…. Then the drain hose… Then a hammer… 😀

A quick word of advice if you’re planning a fitted kitchen…
My machine just broke and I spent around a week trying to get it out of it’s slot! Make sure your builders leave enough space around the appliance so that you can remove it easily. And make sure you have access to the plug and hoses. Being boxed in by the back of cupboards looks nice and tidy, but is a complete nightmare when you need to get at them!

ParticipantRe: Where’s the pump?
The filter on my Ariston CDE 6x won’t open so assume something is wedged in it. From the responses in this thread I need to remove the pump but where is it? The manual says nothing at all and as it’s a fitted kitchen appliance it’s difficult to see anywhere but the front. Is it underneath the filter? How do I take it out to clean it?
