Thanks for the info, im not to worried about the wall/tiles as it needs redecorating anyway, i just wanted to get the thing on my work desk to look at not hanging in the air over the cooker (tight for space) how would you go about removing the whole thing, or how do they go up and i’ll reverse?? i swear its stuck to the wall!!!

Hi all,

I have the same problem, i suspect the above listed part but i do have power to the unit as the light glows and sometimes the fan will start if i wiggle the buttons! but for love nor money i cant get the bloody cooker hood off of the wall to unplug it as some smart installer put the spur inside the upper part in the hood (where the air blows out of) im pretty sure i can clean the contacts of the push buttons if i could only get it powered down and out of the hood.

All i can see is two screws fixing the lower part to the wall, but this will not lift up as the top half (with the power inside) will not come away from the wall?? Am i missing something??
