Re: Bosch fridge freezer faulty help needed please

My Bosch fridge freezer, model number KGV3 120GB 03, had the same fault. That is that it worked for a while then had to be switched off for a few hours, then switched on again and so on. It seemed from others comments that the sensor was not working, so perhaps I needed part 491416, a connector kit to bypass it. I ordered the part from BSH Appliance Care which arrived the next day with instructions. They were quite easy to follow but I made a bit of a mistake and cut the wires too short. They need to be at least 3 inches long. However, it seemed I did not need the part anyway as it is merely a kit to join 2 wires. So I joined them without the kit and the fridge freezer is now working. The part and postage is only £13.44 and I guess for a proper job you should order it. Just to say I’ve never repaired a white good before, so if I can do it, you can. I’m a girl too! Great forum, no doubt saved me a lot of money!
