Thank you – although I have no idea what a test meter is or how to get hold of one (or use it). However….it does seem to be OK at the moment so maybe you are right and it didn’t show the right code anyway! I’ll keep fingers crossed as the longer we can keep hold of this and eek it out…the better for our bank balance.
Thanks as ever for help and advice – much appreciated!

ParticipantRe: Indesit DE73 – A01 error code, A13 error code, A02……
Months later I return as having been very pleased that it cured itself of A13 we now have A02!
Just a quick question if anyone would be good enough to help.
Is there anything at all I can do other than get someone in or get a new machine?
I am seriously thinking new machine, given all the problems so that being the case, can anyone recommend one that is significantly better and less likely to cause problems than this one?
It seems this was a false enconomy and I don’t want to make that mistake again!
Thank you!! 😀

Just spotted another post about A13 – sorry I should have checked that first – the computer board is not firing the dispenser properly!? Sounds like something I can’t fix myself this time!?

Hello again.
I would like to thank those who helped me recently. In the end we tilted the machine until no more water was coming out, but it still showed the error message, so we just left it for a day or two and then tried it again and all was fine and it’s worked numerous times since then. No more A01 error code.
No….now we have A13! Suddenly today after quite a few successful cycles, it’s throwing A13 at us. The list of error codes I got off the internet doesn’t really help me to understand what’s wrong I must say. It’s all clear and clean after we really checked it all out last time. It had been running OK, there’s no hint of a blockage but it just won’t do anything except flash A13 at us (sigh).
So, yet again, if anyone has any advice we would be grateful!

Hi again
Well I disconnected the drain pipe and tried it – it starts off with the drain pump humming away, then the machine starts to take in water as though it’s going to work, but then after a couple of seconds, the error message comes up. As the water is being taken in, it’s also coming out of the end of the drain pipe. When the error code comes up the drain pump is on and won’t go off no matter how long you leave it – it’s almost like it’s stuck on.
Also now, the connector between the mains water and where the pipe comes off to go into the dishwasher has started to leak – only a drip but I wondered whether there was increased pressure because the water wants to go in there but keeps stopping because for some reason it won’t take the water in beyond a couple of seconds?!
Hmmm….it might be time for a new dishwasher after all by the look of it! Unless there are any other suggestions?
Much appreciated – thank you!
Liz

Thanks for this! It was the filter I cleared (where the blockage was) and there is a noise when I start it which is the noise it usually makes when it’s draining so yes…I would say that it’s the drain pump, so….I will go and try what you suggest (turning it off first)!
Thanks again – I’ll let you know!
