ParticipantHow does one measure the motor coils? are these located behind the carbon filters? would you happen to know the year built for the”Hygena Extractor Fan Model APP2440″? I heard the manufacturer went bankrupt.

ParticipantI accidentally duplicated the post. Apologies. The Motor does not engage at all thus no buzzing to hear. How does one know if it is switch or motor related?

Participantthanks for this info. Much appreciated. Have bought the spare part per the above link. Can you recommend a couple of qualified contractors to do this work in London where I am based. A 3 amp fuse is needed per the instruction manual – where do I check for the fuse location? I removed the PCB myself but could not see the fuse. thanks

ParticipantI have a Hygena Extractor Fan Model APP2440 which is old. It just stopped working when in use so the extractors fan are no longer rotating & the light does not work either. Tried placing a new light bulb into the unit which is also not alighting. Does anyone know what is wrong with this unit, how to repair and if a repair is required how much would it be including VAT. thanks
