It did spin on another cycle today so seems intermitant, or possibly only certain programmes, which could point to the eeprom 🙁 I did use contact cleaner on the edge connectors to the PCB and they looked ok anyway. if its only a triac then possibly these can be bought from Maplins? I’m ok with a soldering iron.

would you think stripping the brushes out anyway might be a good idea before attempting pcb replacement?
