No, nothing out of place where wiring was concerned. After checking it again everything seems to be where it was before changing capacitor. It was a nightmare to get to but everything went ok in the end and it was hooked up properly and bolt secured.
It fired up as you would expect it to do after having a cap change.
Ran perfectly for 10 mins and the pop/lights out.
The drum does however seem to be moving more freely now, so thinking it could have been the drum felt not lining up properly although I did check it before reassembly. Hypothetically, could that cause it to short out if there was too much resistance/friction between the drum and the felt?
