Thanks Kwatt for the reply. I was beginning to wonder if there was anyone else out there !
I had ‘the man’ today and it proved to be the top oven safety cut out resistor (small thing in a clear plastic sleave and apparently costs only pence) it would seem. It was hidden on the top of the oven and needed some stripping to get to. He said it was a part that does go U/S on occasion but that he was surprised to see it go on such a young oven.
Still its repaired and working and has just gone through its pyro cycle successfully so all seems fine, just a little pile of white ash to sweep up once it cools.
