Re: AEG Lavamat unusual noise on ‘dry’ cycle
Hi.
I have the same problem. I was a smart cookie and took the fan and heating element off as my machine wasn’t heating. I put it all back together and it heats great now. The problem is that the fan makes a hideous noise now. If I tighten the nut on top too far the fan doesn’t turn but if i slacken it enough that it turns the noise is deafening. I will admit to having cleaned the fan with a bottle brush to clean the fluff out that was making it’s way to the element. Is there any to take the fan assembly apart to check the bearings and can I do anything? Or am I parting with £70 in Electrolux’s direction for a piece of plastic?
