    Re: bosch double oven

I have carried out the procedure as detailed by Applianceman 2010. I took due care and respected the fact that the oven was not earthed.
This was very apparent by the fact that the top oven thermostat neon indicator glowed even though it was the bottom oven that was powered up.
I went through the burn off procedure for 30 mins. on the oven and then the grill for the same length of time. The top oven neon was still glowing after 1 hour of ‘drying out’, I had little confidence it would work. Turned the oven off and isolated the board, replaced the earth and fired it all up, IT NOW WORKS!!. As of this point in time it all seems to work fine.
Huge thanks to Applianceman 2010. Do you think there will be any repercussions from A, being very slightly damp. B, carrying out the drying procedure?
Once again many thanks and yes I did take a lot of care throughout the procedure.

Will try the earth removal, I trust this is a safe procedure? I have found today that on the lower oven it does not matter if you select the grill option in the lower oven or the full fan assisted option it trips the rcd but never the mcb. If it is just a case of ‘drying out’ the elements is it feasible to remove them and put them in the upper oven for 30 minutes.
