Re: Servis FF Model M0263W not cooling

    Hi Dales-E,

The only number I can find like that is on a label stuck to an X2 / 305 V AC capacitor … 546094701

Both that capacitor and a close by electrolytic seem to be part of a power supply. I’m thinking of subbing two new capacitors, except the value of the X2 appears to be coded and I can’t decipher it – although it could be 1u.

Anyway, any info you can come up with gratefully received.

Also thanks ghand1 for your thoughts on Beko. A bog standard no frills FF is all that’s required. It’s only for one person most of the time.

    Thanks again.

Re: Servis FF Model M0263W not cooling

    Thanks everyone…

Dales-E: I’ve had the thing off overnight and tried it again in the morning several times and nothing changes.

kwatt: The compressor does get hot-ish if it’s running (that is not just trying to run) for some time. But then the freezer panel ices up. I reckon if the fan would run the fridge and freezer would cool and freeze – albeit without any control over the temperature.

Gandh1: As for the retailer’s responsibility – I think he’s trying to be fair. It’s a local store and he sent the engineer out and didn’t charge and has offered a discount off a similar Beko. The Servis FFs he has in stock (including one delivered while I was there) are not the same model as mine.

I’ll have one more look at the PCB, but guess I’ll just have to check through here to see what people think about Beko – I’ve already been to their site and seen there’s a full range of spares and the important bits seem to be mechanical.

    Thanks again
    Mal
