Ok, convinced am going insane, I have six flashes now. Looked around the forum and apparently that means: “a defective flow meter, kinked fill hose, water tap off or low water pressure.”
So, if there was water before seems unlikely it would be a pressure issue which leaves flow meter and kinked fill hose. Do you agree?
I have a feeling this means I’m going to have to take out my built-in dishwasher… Why the hell Whirlpool don’t a) print this stuff in their brochure and b) at least put a diagram of the dishwasher’s guts in is beyond me.
Thanks for your patience guys. And, yeah, there’s a pattern 😉

Guys,
I watched/listened to my bleeps again. The light (not the sounds), has a pause after seven flashes – I’m wondering what this means in the world of Whirlpool?
Cheers

Ok, good to know. It is still well within warranty so will have a cosy chat with Whirlpool. Thanks for all your help.

In your honest opinion, have I bought the skoda of dishwashers? Seems less than impressive to me that a part should need replacing so early in its life, especially when its only done about 30 cycles (I just bought my second box of tablets, hence knowing).
Thanks very much for your troubleshooting help, it is appreciated.

Ok, I just counted 60 continuous bleeps all paced evenly with no pauses. At that point I switched it off because it was driving me nuts. Do I need to continue counting any further? Cheers
