I have tested the element an this appears to be OK – is there anything else that may be to blame?

OK so I think I have found the reason for the failure. The main over switch selector has lost one of the little spring connectors (second from the left) – see picture.

is this the part I need?

I’ve seen in another thread about bypassing the clock. Is this a workable option? (I’ve never used the clock or timer function)

Any pointers on what to look for? measurements to take etc..?
I did read an previous thread mentioning a loose spade connector being the culprit.

We have switched of the oven and left it for a while to reset the clock. Still no life in the oven. (orange light does not operate nor does the fan)
