Hi, thanks for the reply. I did not live test the elements, you could feel the top one getting warm but the bottom one didn’t. I have scrapped the oven now anyway, after a couple of calls to some parts suppliers no-one does the tray in question which is definitely the cause of the arcing – it is really distorted in the middle and is making contact with the element so if I replaced only the element the problem would quickly reappear. Thanks anyway.

I have just removed the tray directly below the lower element and it is warped. I have called the number for Parts on the Indesit website but they do not sell this item. Does anyone have any idea where I can get one from? Many thanks, Mark.
