    Well the engineer told me it was the PCB – probably as a result of power cuts recently – quoted £176 to replace – not worth it on this machine.

    Where did you get the £49 price Dave? Can I get it from there and replace it myself?

    Definitely nothing broken that is visible to the naked eye – have had a careful look.
    The control panel doesn’t respond to pressure as it orginally did. As a result people (including me) have tended to press it harder, so the unit has retreated into the door casing. But there is little to stop this that I can see.

    Have tried the repairs service as I didn’t take out the extended warranty. Will see how it goes. 🙁

    Any ideas how much a new control unit is?
