Hi there,
Thanks to everyone – I just have a quick follow up question regarding changing washing machine paddles.
Beko WM5140 paddle problem
With paddles that can be removed and replaced, is this the sort of job that a consumer would do themself, if they knew how to release the paddle?Or do you think this is the kind of job a professional should always do?
Thanks,
Matt

That’s great – thanks for clarifying Phil.
Is it just Beko washing machines that design their paddles like this? Or do other manufacturers do likewise?
Thanks again,

Thanks for your postings here and emails – I appreciate the feedback you’ve passed on to me so far.
Beko WM5140 paddle problem – does this mean that you can’t just clip another one in? That sounds very poor.
Thanks for posting again guys, and if you know of anyone who want to talk to me privately, do pass on my details.

Thanks for your help here – as I expected, there are lots of avenues to investigate.
Thanks for posting about the Samsung and Indesit examples – they are certainly interesting, does anyone have anything else like this?
The bad stuff – If possible I’d like to be able to ask manufacturers questions about specific machines that you’ve experienced major problems with. And if you suspect (or know) that the manufacturers were aware of the problem when they sent the machines to market, I’d be keen to raise this with them to see what they have to say.
The good stuff – I’d also like to talk about when they really get it right. So keep the positive stuff coming too.
Thanks again for your help.
