UPDATE:
Took cover off the dryer and blew into timer assembly (not a sealed unit in a dusty environment-good design!), and it ran for 40 minutes without stopping!!!!
I hope that it is cured, it would seem that dust and fluff may foul the timer mechanism when hot thus causing the dryer to stop so fingers crossed.

I’m pretty competent at replacing components as I work in the electronics industry so I don’t mind getting my hands dirty!!! (why are insides of these things so sharp I’ve lost count of how many cuts on my fingers) 😆

Where would I find the date code you mention and what is this “MOD Kit” and what does it do?
