Hello. Just so there is a start, a middle and an end to this thread.
Tonight my washer packed in. The drum stopped turning. Although the machine is making all the noises as if it is doing a spin and the digital clock thinks it’s still going through the program by counting down to zero.
So my £180 BUSH washer lasted 3 months short of 5 years. It was used once a day, everyday and I felt I had looked after it as much as I could by cleaning filters and not overloading.
I am grateful to have been able to post on uk whitegoods about this as there is nothing much available about the reliability of the brand. Other than what ARGOS allow to be published on it’s website.
So there you have it. A start, a middle and an end.
I hope google picks this thread up on a search and someone considering buying a BUSH washer gets to read it. And can make their own mind up.
Thanks everyone on here (even the horrible one’s)
Bye for now. 🙂

Took delivery of his Bush machine from Argos on Monday 13th September 2010.
You know fine well when I bought it….. The quote above is your own.
Its 4 years old. Not 3 years and a day.
How is Hampshire these days? Funny how when I made a reference to Basingstoke and to Southampton some time ago you removed your location!

Yay. It’s lasted to year 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Still washing fine. Although maybe a bit noisier than is was before.
Remember this thread is just to report on BUSH washing machines. The reviews on ARGOS are all great but you are only allowed to post on their website within a month of buying.
So hopefully, as was intended – this is helpful to someone.

Hock aye the noo?
Are you taking the pizz?
Or just well jel?
I could add a couple of stereotypical things about Basingstoke or Southampton, much along the lines of your HOCK AYE THE NOO but I wont. I’ll leave all the childish stuff to you.MCGONIS

So my BUSH washer is now 3 years old,
My garments still wash like a ribbon!
I’ll come back this time next year and tell you if it’s still going. I paid buttons for it and have got a good machine.
I still have £200 of Argos vouchers sitting aside incase it packz in.
But really, I would say BUSH is good overall.
I am seeing on HUKD that you can get BEKO washers for £155 delivered from Homebase.
Having this BUSH has made me question why I paid £340 for a HOOVER washer years ago.

You know that film…. “SINGLE WHITE FEMALE”?…..
I am kinda thinking about that film, and am totally speechless about that last post.
I really am speechless. How the fook does anyone on this forum know anything about me?

Are you still kicking about here? You should be mortified about what you wrote to me some posts ago. If I had a bad bone in me and wrote that I would be mortified.
You are an ignorant person.
I now HATE Lancashire and will never go near the place. You done that……..

ParticipantRe: BUSH WM-1260B AUTOMATIC WASHER
Who invited you to the party dear?
I hardly expected you to be on my side once I realised you too are from Lancashire. Same as the “comet engineer” as you call him.
You are now the second individual on this thread to mention that I may or may not own a washing machine that I actually do own. I will not have my honesty questioned.
Also the bit about 25 years was just a rip off from a Catherine Tate character. When offended, he states how he and his mother have been doing something relative to the person he is insulted by for 25 years.
Plus…..I will not have my thread closed or edited. It started off as a really genuine way of trying to help others with regard BUSH washing machines. If I had said it broke after 9 months and they were rubbish, I would not get all this crap? But as it is, I am telling what has happened after 2 years and I get totally slated and accused of either being not from the UK or that I work at the washing machine company or that I might not actually own the machine at all. Oh Please!
Now his post was a disgrace and very rude. And just because I retaliated, I am being warned about manners and being called a troll.
Also just one final thing about your reply to me, “comet engineer” would not “fix this stuff” as you say as the washer is from Argos. Sold only at Argos. So there is no way he can have seen “thousands” of these washers. The thing is, I would keep quiet about being anything to do with Comet. It does not enhance his post very much to be honest. You know as well as I do, that anyone that knows electrials would not go near that place with a long pole.
Now I speak as someone who previously worked for the group that owned Comet. Even with the 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} staff card, I would not go there.
I am not playing last word, but I don’t want to hear anything more about this. I want to come back here at some point and update on this washing machine. It should have been a really simple thread that was picked up on google’s search engine to help others. Not a slanging match and trying to put me down or suggest I am lying.
I am off shortly to buy a PRO ACTION washing machine from Argos for my mum and dad. It’s £150. I am going to start a new thread called DIARY OF A PRO ACTION WASHING MACHINE.
I would prefer it if you and “comet engineer” steer clear of it. I am not on here to argue. But I won’t be told off for my purchasing decisions.
Adios.

Who rattled your cage? Also can you take the caps lock off?
If you fix them for a living, it’s keeping you in a job, so quit moaning and do one………………

Twenty five years my mother and I have been coming to these forums and I have never heard anything quite like it. I find you IMPERTINENT! 😆
You have the cheek to say I am poorly educated! I have never seen such a poorly worded piece before. Bad grammar, shocking punctuation and the spelling! And you bring up education!
I am not from around “these parts” if “these parts” means Preston. And if you are typical of the manners of people from Preston then thank FCUK that I am not from there.
Your “kinda guess” that I work at Haier is wrong. Where I am employed is nothing to do with you or this thread. If I worked at Haier, I would not be buying a cheap automatic washer from a catalogue showroom.
So…… To finish off, get to FCUK of my thread with all your negativity, otherwise, I will jump the first train down to Preston. Track you down, and wash your mouth out with soap powder!
COMP-RANDY?

A very quick update on this. It’s now two years old. Still no problems with it. I started buying a £10 Argos voucher every payday since I bought this as I was sure it would stop working fairly quickly because it was so cheap and I would need to pay for a replacement machine. I stopped buying the vouchers when I reached £200!
Still very little information available on the web about BUSH. But hope this thread in some way helps someone. 😀

Another update – for anyone that is interested.
My BUSH washer is now outside the guarantee period – So it’s one year old. I’ve Still had no problems with it.
Probably now used once a day on average. There is still very little information available to people about the reliability of these machines.
I have nothing critical to say about it after a year.
I will come back here at year two and let you know what the situation is, but so far, if you want a cheap washer – then BUSH at Argos seems fine.
