    One further question wfor which I would appreciate any guidance.

    Would it make sense to use a separate fridge and freezer? I’m guessing that freezers are less susceptable to low ambient temperatures?

    Having read all the above posts, and the outbuildings user guide I think I understand the issues why fridge freezers should not be used in outbuidlings.
    Having said that there does seem to be plenty of people who have acceptable experience of using fridge freezers in garages etc.

    I have a wife who wants a fridge freezer in our attached garage – no is not the answer!

    So, what experience does anyone have with models etc that manage to work in a garage?
