Well me being scuppered is nothing new! Smile

Apart from the error message on the rare times you turn off and then on at the mains the hob functions 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

I’m tempted to let this sleeping dog carry on snoozing I think.

    Thanks for looking for me.

Well I made a little progress (well a lot in some ways) towards fixing this hob. I took the glass off and with a domestic hairdryer heated the power board and electronics until they were quite warm (to check for dry/bad joints). I then turned on mains power to the hob and hey presto it worked!

One thing, now the LED Segments that show the heat setting of each of the four rings indicate what must be some sort of error number. From left to right the four segments show F 4 0 8 for a second or so when mains power is applied to the hob. After this, and when the hob has done its reset, function seems to be as normal.

Do any of you engineers know what the F 4 0 8 error message means on the Fagor 2VFT-400s Touch Sensitive Hob?

    Thanks

    Re: Hoover DT999

I’m fairly sure it was smoke, I’ll try finding a number for Hoover and calling them.
