All wires back to PCB check for continuity, PCB – no burn/damage visible, capacitors intact. As the dryer stopped working over a year ago (not investigated, just use it as a washer as we have 2 Wash/Dryers) Could be time to just buy a new dryer.

This machine has been a trooper, nothing else wrong with it since I bought it sometime around 1995 I think. Don’t think its even worth getting a PRO in to verify my findings.

Any recommendations on what a ‘decent machine’ is!?

OK, done a bit more digging and found…

The motor (6pin connector)has continuity between 1st pair of pins (black/grey – to brushes) and 2nd pair (red/brown – to field coils). remaining pair are to speed sensor I think.
Does this mean that the motor should be ok and its probably the PCB?

Thanks. What should I check on the motor with my meter if not testing it live?
