Hi folks just to let you all know changed the pump which was not the easiest thing to do and had it running in the garage and all was fine : ) now it will stay in there as the back up machine .thanks for all the help on this great !

Now I need another pump would a universal pump fit this or does it have to be this specific type as I’ve been looking on flea bay and there is a wide variety of them many thanks . I really don’t want to spend to much so the cheap second hand one will do .

I tried my hardest to do what you said and it just would not budge so I interfered with said grommet taking it all out ,even out it was very difficult to get apart . So now have I buggered it up ? What I have also done is with a soldering iron made a hole in the base so I can get to the rubber at the back and attach easier to pump but is this all in vain ? Cheers for your help on this matter I think you lot are extremely helpfull bunch of people 🙂

Hi I have managed to get to the pump and it as you all have said is difficult to remove how and what is the best way of doing this .? It seems to be attached to rubber that makes it harder to twist out as I’m assuming that you have to twist the bits apart or do you pull the whole thing out of black rubber I doubt ?

Many thanks for your help I will have to scrap the lovely thing as it is really uneconomical to repair might sell some of the bits on ebay? ie motor ,pump,hinge etc it would be great to help someone else who wants to keep this type of machine going !
