Re: Bosch SGS4302 – not heating up and stuck on 1 minute

    Hi there,

First can I say how valuable this thread seems to be and thanks to all who have contributed.

I have had all the same symptoms with my machine as others have described: 2HR cycle times which then stick on 1MIN and run with cold water.

After cleaning the matrix and the pipes the problem persisted. Next I checked the control board and could see no visible burnt out points. Next tested the heater itself and found it an open circuit.

£85 and 3 hours later I have the new heater fitted, which was too difficult.

Made sure to add salt and ran the machine.

The water IS now heating up nicely but the display is still on 2HR.
I think I read somewhere that the machine needs to complete a new cycle before the times readjust, however, I can find no mention of this here by anyone who has had success with their repair.

Can someone knowledgable please confirm if this is the case, or do I still have a problem?

Also, I have 2 screws left over. I labelled them ‘front box’ but cannot identify what this was or where they are from. Also, 2 pairs of white blocky plastic. I’m sure they are not critical but I’d like to have it right. Anyone any ideas on these? I can upload pics if that would help?

It may be worth mentioning that we inherited this machine from family. During our time with it (3 years) we never added any salt (thinking it unnecassary with all-in-one tablets) and also haven’t rinsed dirty dishes before loading them. We also live in a hard water area.

Any help with be gratefully recieved.
    Michael
