Still haven’t got anyone out to look at my washer/dryer yet but after what you was saying about blown capacitors I took another look and, just like you say, there is indeed a blown capacitor on the PCB (I would send a photo but I can’t figure out how to attach images to a post). There is also an IC which looks like it’s got a bit fried (because it’s right next to the blown capacitor). The IC looks like a standard part (I found the manufacturer’s website on the web). It’s a TOP209 from Power integration INC. Do you reckon this is repairable or am I looking at a new PCB. If it is repairable, have you any idea what a reasonable price is for the repair.
