Ok. Back from holiday and it stayed on for 25 minutes before tripping the RCD.
We have visited a local repair/sales company (Bews in Stotfold, North Herts) who used to repair Maytag but no longer do so as it is so difficult to get hold of parts. Currys also say they are unable to repair Maytags, possibly for the same reason. The frustrating thing is that this machine was working perfectly until we had to turn it off to clear the drain outlet. With it having increased the time from 2 mins to 25 mins in two weeks in which it will stay on, does that suggest anything to anyone?
Bit scared of carbon tracks and fire risk in trying again.
Any thoughts?

Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply. I didn’t know about carbon tracks so will leave it alone. Given the food is wasted now anyway and we are away next week on holiday, we can even leave it until we get back. I will prop the doors open. I don’t really see how the water could have gone anywhere other than the floor, but maybe condensation could have formed when it was off and water dripped somewhere somehow.
Unfortunately, due to a kitchen design company that should have known better, the f/f is in a tightly sized carcass and is very difficult to move in or out, with an island unit built in front just far enough away from the cabinetry as the depth of the machine so we haven’t attempted to move it at all. If I were to have designed this kitchen I would have had the end panel removable to more easily access the rear of the machine but unfortunately it is a structural part of the very large cupboard above.

Stayed on for 2 mins and 4 seconds this morning.
